Tool Building and Setup

3D scanning, reverse engineering, and inspection systems and services from Laser Design are all world-class solutions to unique tool building engineering problems. Reverse engineering solutions from Laser Design can rapidly produce CAD for prototype and legacy parts. Inspection solutions from Laser Design assess the dimensional accuracy of physical parts compared to printed dimensions, Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI), or nominal CAD data.

File output can either be 100% accurate to the physical part’s dimensions (as-built), or it can reflect the part’s intended design (design-intent). The resulting files can be delivered in any required CAD or graphic format and be used for tool building as well as QA/QC.
