Machine Tool Performance Analysis
Using proven technology we provide calibration services for machine tools and other position motion systems that are new, reconditioned or in operation. We check their production capability with measured data that is traceable to recognized international and national standards. Our engineers are experienced in all aspects of machine tool performance evaluation who will work to your requirements for axis positioning, 3D volumetric positioning evaluation or error mapping.
The demands of modern industry to have tighter tolerances and compliance with international quality standards set the importance of a machine’s accuracy and calibration. The design and construction of machinery determines its ability to hold tolerances. However, machines can over time develop displacement errors originating from worn, failing and crashed moving components of the machine.
Machines can be assessed performing a sequence of measurements to identify the accuracy to ensure machine responsibility. Our service is suitable for high accuracy demands with no imitations to the size of the machine’s working volume. Robot Performance Analysis
Our robot measurement and performance analysis enables us to set or recover the tool center point (x,y,z and orientation), assist with a fast recovery after a robot crash (re-mastering), and assist with the installation of a robot system onto a production site. Our solutions use a laser tracker that works with all makes and models of robots to determine the robot’s performance ability e.g., accuracy, repeatability, velocity, acceleration, cornering characteristics, settling time and drift of the robot.
On-site inspection services provide you with accurate measurements of the tool center point (TCP) for analysis of both the static and dynamic performance of the robots. Our engineers create a geometry error database recording the determined deviations from nominal (position and/or orientation) of the kinematic chain with respect to the measured point. This error database combined with real time measurement of the positions of the robot’s TCP, is provided to the client for compensation of robot geometry errors.
