Both affordable and easy to use, the portable TS-Series
enables users to quickly scan complex shapes and geometric
data from any object. The system creates a three-dimensional
digital model, which can be easily manipulated with point cloud processing
software from Geomagic. The Geomagic software performs editing and model-building
functions including scaling, smoothing, point cloud editing, STL
model generation, and fast NURBS surface CAD model output. It also stitches together
the data from multiple scan orientations to efficiently and
accurately create large-scale digital models. These models are
easily imported into popular CAD/CAM and 3D graphic software
programs.
Using
a precision grade rotational stage, the TS-Series laser beam is swept across a part's
surface to acquire its 3D shape. Lightweight and easy to use, the TS-Series is ideal for
medium-accuracy mobile scanning /
digitizing applications. The
system package includes an SLP-2000 laser probe, precision grade
rotary stage, tripod, scan capture software,
data processing software, and optional carrying case. A
high-end laptop PC is available. The TS-series interfaces easily with any PC equipped with
a USB port running Windows XP or Vista.
