Quick Start Training
Overview
Laser Design Inc. developed Quick Start Training specifically to provide
new users the experience required to collect quality and reliable scan data.
The one-week long training classes are held monthly at Laser
Design. On-site training at the customer's facility is
optionally available.
Using powerful 3D imaging Surveyor
Scan Control software, this hands-on course focuses on small group work with
instruction through participation and repetition. Everything from scanning
theory to the collection of complete ASCII point clouds of sample parts will be
covered in this compact and intense course.
Surveyor
Scan Control is designed around the principle of creating an extremely powerful
3-D scanning program to be used by CAD experts and novices alike. Both system
users and supervisors are encouraged to attend this quick-start course.
Prerequisites include basic computer knowledge, general knowledge of
reverse engineering and/or inspection process, and of course, a desire to learn.
Many
customers choose to follow their Surveyor Quick Start training with additional
data processing software training using Geomagic.
These additional software programs will take the Surveyor Scan Control point cloud and
process it for reverse engineering or inspection. Geomagic training is
available in North Carolina at Geomagic headquarters.
Please register for training classes at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled
dates. Students coming to Laser Design for training should be fluent in
English, well versed in Microsoft Windows, and have a CAD/CAM software
background. If the student is not fluent in English, contact Laser Design
and we will arrange for an interpreter.
