What is 3D Long Range Scanning? A ground-based laser scanning technique for collecting high-density 3D geospatial data. Its purpose is to enable 3D scanning of very large-scale, complex entities. Both the inside and the outside of structures can be scanned, as well as natural environments for surveying and design purposes.
Using the highly accurate 3D scan data generated with long range scanning, engineers and designers can create CAD models of actual site conditions by processing the scan data into universally usable CAD models.
