  • Gather complex 3D cavity, digital terrain models & continuous slope monitoring
  • Stockpile volume measurements
  • As-built data to prevent disasters
  • Take preventative actions to give early signs of movement

Long range scanning is a ground-based laser scanning technique for collecting high-density 3D geospatial data. Its purpose is to enable 3D scanning of very large-scale, complex entities- such as tunnels and mines. Both the inside and the outside of areas can be scanned, as well as natural environments for inspection and design purposes.

This methods is ideal for mines and other complex cavities such as caves, cellars and wells. The long range scans are quickly captured and then processed and data is extracted concerning the edges of slopes and mined areas, terrain, contour line maps & cavity models.

Long range scanning is a power tool in producing accurate drawings for current or theoretical tunnels by capturing the actual tunnel profile and visualizing in 3D, cross sections and in contour lines.

Using the highly accurate 3D scan data generated with long range scanning, engineers and designers can design theoretical tunnels and create CAD models of actual site conditions by processing the scan data into universally usable CAD models.

Contact us today and let our expert technicians bring the complexity of your tunnel & mining scan down to a workable scale for you.
