Laser Design offers its 3D Laser Scanning Probes for existing CMM's (Coordinate Measuring Machines) as an option for full or part-time use.

Our CMM Laser Probe kit does not require a retrofit. It works with most CMM's (contact us to see if your CMM is supported) and is almost as simple as adding a new touch probe. The CMM configuration remains exactly the same and you can switch back and forth from laser probe to regular touch probes in just a few minutes.

Laser Design's CMM laser scanning probe integrates to your CMM via a one-time connection to the CMM’s linear scale readout wiring. This interface is provided by Laser Design certified CMM technicians and will not interfere with a CMM’s current functions or operation. Your machine’s existing control system and joystick will be used in its current form to provide motion control and movement of Laser Design's CMM laser scanning probe over the parts being scanned. The laser scan data will be captured on a high-performance computer running Laser Design’s Surveyor Scan Control (SSC) software and optional Geomagic data processing software for modeling and inspection.
