Interest in 3D scanning technology has been growing and continues to grow across not only the U.S. but the world. We see new manufacturers of 3D scanning equipment all over the globe- China, Italy, Russia, etc. These manufacturers tend to be producing portable scanners for the ever growing marketplace and are trying to do this at an affordable rate without sacrificing quality.
We evaluate new 3D scanners coming to the marketplace quite frequently and test them against our own high accuracy equipment in our 3D scanning service bureau lab. Most just simply don’t pass the test because of hardware, accuracy, repeatability and resolution issues. We aren’t comfortable selling something we don’t believe in!
