C. Martin Schuster, Founder, Chairman and CEO
C. Martin Schuster founded Laser Design, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN over 20 years ago. As Chairman and CEO he is leading the company into its third decade of innovation in the 3D scanning field. Years ago, through his background in CAD/CAM software development as Vice President of Sales with CAMAX Systems Inc., he became involved with moldmaking CAD/CAM technologies including reverse engineering of products and prototypes into CAD models for manufacturing. Experimentation in 3D laser scanning with CAD/CAM users led to the formation of Laser Design, Inc. to develop and commercialize 3D scanning of complex shapes for reverse engineering and inspection applications.
As designers require ever-faster, more accurate ways to digitize and input complex 3D shapes into computer programs, Mr. Schuster has championed the emerging technology of line range laser probes and refined it over the years. Today, Laser Design is also developing applications to improve the efficiency and accuracy of its laser scanning technologies.
Larry Carlberg, General Manager
Larry has a B.S. in Civil Engineering and 30 years experience as a pattern and model maker. Product development has been a major part of Larry’s entire career, including patterns, molds, and RP models for the medical, aerospace and consumer products. He joined GKS Inspection Services in March of 2002 integrating the unique combination of laser scanning technology with rapid product development services. Larry offers companies key advantages by using GKS Inspections Services to gain a competitive edge, cutting product design & production costs.
