3D Inspection Technician - Minneapolis
Company: GKS Services & Laser Design is an engineering firm specializing in 3D scanning and metrology solutions. Our engineers and management have been providing world-class 3D scanning, CAD modeling and quality inspection services to a variety of industries worldwide for over 30 years. As a leader in the 3D scanning industry, we are constantly evolving in order to stay on top. We are currently looking for a motivated 3D Inspection Technician to add to our growing company.
Our projects are as varied as any real world object, including, but not limited to, tiny figurines, entire planes, cast parts, sculptures, electronic devices including cell phones, turbine blades, guns, race cars, boats, national treasures and more. We never know what new and exciting projects are around the corner, which keeps us on our toes and forces us to be ready for the unexpected.
Position Location: Bloomington, MN
The 3D Inspection Technician will perform:
* In-house 3D scanning and measurement using the appropriate tool for the job
* On-site 3D scanning at client locations within the metro area and around the globe
* Post processing of 3D scanning and measurement data to prepare scan data for inspection
* Engineering 3D scan data into CAD models
* CAD modeling and design
We are looking for a candidate who is/has:
* Working knowledge of GD&T (MUST have)
* Inspection experience (MUST have)
* Geomagic (Qualify & Studio), Polyworks and/or Calypso experience (MUST have)
* CAD knowledge (Solidworks, ProE or UG)
* Laser Scanning knowledge preferred
* Experience processing scan data
* Technical aptitude
* Fast Learner, Hard-working
* Able to travel in the MN area and around the globe
Candidates must be U.S. citizens, able to lift heavy equipment and pass random drug tests.
